Every October, the PNE hosts Vancouver’s ultimate Hallowe’en attraction: Fright Nights. The event is terrifying fun and a staple of the city’s Hallowe’en celebrations. The typical broadcast video approach wasn’t effective at communicating how horrifyingly eerie and incredibly fun this event really is. News crews visiting the site during the day were unable to capture the true spirit of the event. But safety concerns made it difficult to regularly bring a full news crew through the attractions during regular operating hours without negatively impacting the experience of guests.
The PNE hired NakedLens to produce a thirty-minute B-roll reel that embodies the spirit of this spooky attraction, providing the attraction with the raw materials they needed to effectively promote the event.
Outcome: The video was made available to news outlets for use in coverage of the event. The footage captured was so effective at communicating the scarifying-ly fabulous fun of Fright Nights that it was used to create broadcast advertising for the event the following year.
